Exactly one year ago, India ended their 17-year wait for a T20 World Cup title, defeating South Africa in a thrilling final at Kensington Oval. The match went down to the wire, but India held their composure to secure the coveted trophy.

The victory was not just about the final match; it was the result of an outstanding campaign in which India remained undefeated, demonstrating dominance, character, and resilience throughout the tournament.

One of the most exciting moments of the tournament was the high-stakes match between India and Pakistan. "It was more than just a game," Rohit recalled. "Two days before the match, we were completely focused. The security was tight, there were fans everywhere, and you could feel that something special was about to happen. It felt like a festival."

In a tense, low-scoring match, India managed to defeat Pakistan by six runs. Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance of 3 for 14.

Despite an early setback, with Kohli, Rohit, and Axar losing their wickets quickly, Rishabh Pant's bold innings of 42 runs off 31 balls saved India and took the score to 119.

"His 42 was equivalent to a score of 70 on that pitch," Rohit said. "We knew that 140 was a par score, but with our bowlers, even 119 was achievable."

Rohit praised Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh for successfully executing the plan. "Bumrah is a valuable asset because he not only takes wickets but also restricts runs. Arshdeep has also been fantastic, and they were both essential in helping us win the game."

From the electrifying atmosphere of the India-Pakistan match to the nail-biting final in Barbados, Rohit's memories serve as a moving homage to a team that gave the nation unforgettable moments.
